The Differences Between Therapy, Coaching and Mental Fitness Training

Mental Fitness Training , Coaching and Therapy are really different.   Sometimes it is easier to explain the differences by using an analogy.

If life is like a ball of yarn, therapy helps you unravel the tangles.  Coaching helps you knit a sweater.  Mental fitness training provides the needles for knitting the sweater.

I added the last sentence to the original analogy regarding therapy and coaching.  Where did the original quote come from?

The Secrets for Coping With Emptiness

There are five secrets for coping with emptiness.  While pumping gas into my car, I noticed many people doing likewise.  None of us were demonstrating irritation or symptoms of emotional disturbance.

I wondered what have most of us learned about cars, gas gauges and putting gas into our vehicles.  It became apparent to me:  Whatever we have learned prevents us from becoming emotionally disturbed when filling our car's tank with gas.

The five secrets for coping with emptiness, I learned from pumping gas and from being a Life and Mental Fitness Coach.

Signals

Living life would be so much easier if people had a "Life Gauge" in the middle of their forehead.  Just imagine how easy life would be.

Wouldn't it be great to look in a mirror and immediately know if you were full, empty or somewhere in between.

Wouldn't it be great to look at anyone and particularly your significant other and know how empty or full they are by looking at their gauge in the middle of their forehead?
