Do You Have the Desire to Overcome?

DESIRE TO OVERCOME!  DO YOU HAVE THE DESIRE TO OVERCOME?

Bilde_4 "Years after his sister's death, U of M tailback, Michael Hart carries on" was a motivating article written by Shawn Windsor, Free Press Sports Writer at Freep.com.  Please read this article to find out more about Michael Hart's overcoming the tragic death of his sister, when Michael was only 8 years old.

"However, it's still a nice perk to root for a back who has good grades and a tattoo of his deceased baby sister on his arm", said Michael from Braves & Birds - The Alanta Sports Blog.

Michael has burst through the tears in his life.  Shawn Windsor wrote

When he bursts through Michigan Stadium's tunnel Saturday to begin his final season as a Wolverine, the memory of that night isn't what will fuel him. The fury that drives Hart when he runs has never been about conjuring up the tragedies of his life.

What a wonderful concept.  Wouldn't be wonderful to be free enough to not conjure up the tragedies in our lives and remain stuck dwelling on our losses.

WE SHALL OVERCOME has a rich history in American culture.  According to Wikipedia, the phrase possibly comes from a gospel song, written by Reverend Charles Tindley of Philadelphia.  Reverend Tindley's song had the line "I'll overcome someday".  A later gospel song had the line "Deep in my heart, I do believe / I'll overcome some day." Here are the words of the song.

WE SHALL OVERCOME not only was a protest song, but became the empowering anthem of the civil rights movement.  The song was made famous by Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Martin Luther King, and many others.

WE SHALL OVERCOME has been a powerful affirmation rectifying inequalities and establishing freedom for all in the arenas of civil rights, governments and politics.

WE SHALL OVERCOME has been seen in the efforts of Americans and people throughout the world as they have not been defeated by hurricanes, earthquakes and other acts of nature.

WE SHALL OVERCOME can become a unifying battle of the free world in fighting terror.

Only you know all of the battles, hardships and devastation in your life.  Don't allow the realistic and self-imposed limitations and problems in your life destroy your will.  Personalize this successful affirmation, visualize will "I shall overcome" in your life and you feel the experience.

Change WE SHALL OVERCOME into I SHALL OVERCOME!

As Michael Hart bursts through the surging defenses with the football safely cradled in his arms, we too can bursts through the problems and disappointments in our lives with hope, love, freedom, conference and success cradled in our hearts and minds.

Today is the day to be a Michael Hart in your life!
