Perfect Practice Makes Perfect Performance

"Perfect practice makes perfection" said the red-headed, 17year old.  Can you believe a teenager said that.  I was amazed he knew so much about mental fitness.

Perfect practice makes perfection is the essence of mental fitness training! 

How did that 17 year old know so much about practicing?  I asked him.  He and his father told me he was expert archer on the national scene by the age of 12.  He even had been instructed by an Olympian champion.  By the age of 12 he had learned "perfect practice makes perfection".

I asked him to tell me more about "perfect practice".  He told me for him

"perfect practicing" is repetitively practicing exery part of shooting an arrow perfectly.  He practiced each part of his performace perfectly and persistently until the "perfect performance' was natural and automatic.

In the excitement and pressure of competition, his "perfect practicing" generated his "perfection".  No matter how severe his pressures and stresses were, he relaxed and automaticly actualized his "perfectly practiced" sequences necessary for success.

I wondered why adults have so much difficulty "perfectly practicing" affirmations necessary for success in every day living. 

Stresses, anxieties, fears, inadequacies, insecurities, failues, crises, and pressures in living can be overcome by "perfectly practicing"  affirmations to organize the brain and develop mental fitness. 

To "perfectly practice" mental fitness affirmation, it is necessary to understand and then practice each part of the affirmation perfectly and repeatedly.   

Repeat the affirmation continually and regularly, so the affirmation becomes a part of you.  Then under stress and when in conflct, relax and let the "perfectly practiced" affirmation generate success for you.
